One bike shop here in my town told me that it would run better with only 22 ounces in my primary so I tried that and I didnt think it shifted better so I put the recomende quart and a half in and believe it runs better thet way. There theory was that to much fluid would make it harder for the plates to compress and that it is like a bath showering affect in there when running anyway.I think that may work on the newer bikes but not so well on mine.
