I bought a used ´90 HD XLH 883/1200, the previous owner put a top end kit on it. Can´t find what is slowly draining the battery yet?. I´ve noticeably changed the voltage rectifier/regualtor, which had obvious signs from both wire´s of exposed wear. Also, the starter relay. I haven´t checked all of the electrical system yet, but will eventually. I´ve read many article´s on electrical trouble shooting those model´s, hopefully?, will get it soon. Worse case scenario would be the starter solenoid, maybe starter included, and eventually the stator. I´d like to hear your view on this trouble shooting procedure to isolate the battery drain. The bike only has just over 20,500 miles. Thankyou, Godbless, Godspeed, Happy Holiday´s, and New Year´s 2020 to all. |
