I also have an 75 honda xl250 and the problem seems to occur when the motor gets warmed up. I have gone through most everything i though it could be, and i am starting to thing it is the coil. but i really dont want to spend $90 on a used coil. b/c when i got the bike it was wore out but i got it to run, so i turned it into a dirt bike.
