Aermacchi History

As implied by the brand name, Aermacchi initially produced aircrafts, and post-war motorcycle manufacturing ideas were realized in 1950. Bought up by Harley-Davidson in the late 1950's, which sold Aermacchi to Cagiva in 1978.
