CRF230L, a friendly little bike

Don´t want or need a 650cc monster¿ The CRF230L is probably what you´re looking for.

I had a xr650l for several years. It tried to assassinate me several times. On rutted trails, on sand ranch roads in Nebraska, on trails through the woods it made itself clear that it was not happy off the road. It´s high seat, high weight and high gearing made it a pain in the everything when off the road. I wanted my old xr200 back, and when the CRF230L came out, I had it. I have a big street bike, but I wanted the fun of a dirt bike back. This machine hauls my 213 lbs just fine. It does 65-70 on the beltline just fine, although a high headwind does bog it down at that speed. All I had to do to make it run the way god intended dirt bikes to run was to pull off that @^%# Dollars # Dollars smog pump. A simple block off kit from XR´s only resulted in more power, smoother running, quicker warm up, the end of a strange ´dead spot´ in the carburator, and a pile of pumps, cannisters, filters and hoses that could choke a horse laying on the garage floor. This bike won´t win any races. It will, however, put the grin back on your face that ended when you got rid of your old trail bike. It is my buddy. It handles the dirt well, it handles the road well, and it gets between 80 and 90 miles to the gallon depending on weather and how I´m riding it. I can´t tell you how great it is to have my old buddy back.
