This review is for a Yamaha dt 175 form 4/74 manufacture date. I will have a fair rating as I really don´t like yamaha bikes in the first place, I like Honda. But I will put that aside.

Okay! I just got this bike in pretty good condition for free! It needs a battery, but still runs without one. As you won´t find many facts about this bike on the internet, I will tell you what I learned about it.(br)(br)Firts, it is a 14 horse power machine. It´s powerband peaks at around 7000 rpm´s. It is street legal. It really has great power! It is a two stroke, so no wonder where the power comes from! It has a very comfortable seat, and The design of the bike is so simple, that cleaning is a snap. It has a separate oil tank, so no mixing gas. Use premium also! Also use synthetic oil as this is a two stroke, and it needs it! I personally use ams oil 2000. It is very high performance racing oil. It provides a no friction surface! I would rate the bike a 10/10 of whqat I have rode and owned, which is listed:(br)(br)1. 1969 ct70(br)(br)2. 1974 honda 125 xl(br)(br)3. 1974 yamaha dt 175 enduro(br)(br)(br)It is hard to believe that I obtained all these bieks for free, and two are the same year! | |
