Traded up from the VTX1300C. I rode the 1300 for a year and was happy with it. I got an offer I could not refuse.

I had not ridden for nearly 20 years and I finally bought the VTX1300C but it vibrated my hands some between 60 and 70 mph. I got a good money offer and traded. My windshield and saddlebags for the 1300 fit the 1800 just like they were made for it. The 18 has the floorboards and the vibration is minimal making for more comfort on long rides. The 1800 was heavy until I had been back on a bike for a year and got my legs under me. Now I am in ´hog heaven.´ It is hard to tell that its not a Hog cept´n theres no chain and its quiet. But its got the gitty up to go! I heard they were going up around Dollars 6000 more next year and I see why. No maintenance until 8000 miles except oil change every 2000. The smaller bikes cost you another 1K after 500 miles. then every 4000 miles thereafter. 1800 all the way. | |
