Review of the 2006 Suzuki Boulevard S40:Big single cylinder = big, big, fun. |

The S-40 is a clean good looking bike. Plenty of power in the low and mid ranges makes it great for around town and back roads cruising. | ||
| The bike recieves alot of attention riding around town. With the low weight it handles nicely and responds well, including having a passenger on board. The bike is nice and stable at highway speeds of 55-65mph, although starts to feel a bit uncomfortable over 70mph on my stock bike. Fuel consumption averages about 50mpg. My only complaint about the bike so far is the front brake which can be a little noisy, but functions well. Some complain about the light backfiring during decompression and when shutting the bike down, but from the sources I read this is normal for a large, carburated, single cylinder as long as it´s not excessive, which mine isn´t. I believe it adds character to the kind of bike this is. At 5´9´ and 215lbs, I come from a long background of off-road and dual-purpose riding. I couldn´t be happier with my Boulevard S-40. |
