Excellent all rounder sports bike, handles very well, trusty workhorse and lots of fun.Very forgiving when driven hard.

I have done over 30,000 miles on my 2002 gpz500s, come rain or shine. and this bike has performed flawlessly. never missed a beat. Handles best on BT45´s changing the oil every 5000 miles keeps the engine in top condition. Gear changes best done with small clutch movements. Not fully de-clutching. Brakes are great, acceleration swift and no need to go thrashing the lump past 8000rpm, Front fork oil can be changed to a thicker oil to reduce front end dive under braking if required. Fitting 10watt bulbs to the instruments is good for night riding and a decent 60watt(85) white light bulb will make good use of the excellent headlight giving a superb coverage of the road and good through bends too when leaned hard over, making this an excellent all rounder. Day night winter summer commuting and touring one up or two up just keeps on putting a smile on your face. Just climb aboard and enjoy. | |
