Review of the 2002 Honda XR 200 R:suprisingly peppy but.... |

2002 Honda XR 200 R. Picture by Honda. Published with permission.
the xr 200 was a beautiful starter bike and a great trail bike. this little thing actually makes a surprising amount of tourque and with the 6 speed tranny it hits about 65-70 miles an hour | ||
this bike worked great in the begining but as i progressed i was unhappy with the suspension so i started to mess with it. i am 16 and i weigh 135 at 6´1 and no matter what i did the suspension couldnt even handle a 3 foot jump. it would be a great learners bike as it was to me i also think it would be perfect for the wife if she likes riding it is a very reliable bike never had engine trouble . the brakes are also not up to some abuse they heat up and stick and they are drums so they dont work as well as my friends xr250 i moved up to a yzf 250 and i think that the 200 is the perfect bike to learn on and it will make it through everything have a great time riding and not fixing that bike for it will never fail to start its a good deal great bike |
