Review of the 2004 Harley-Davidson FXDWGI Dyna Wide Glide:Dream Cruiser |

The Harley-Davidson for tall people. At 6ft 5in, 36in inseam, this one fits pretty well. | ||
Engine: Lots of fun, best feature on the bike. Low range torque is a cruisers dream. The engine does not so much vibrate as -´shake-´. The front end shake at idle smooths out as you get underway. Great combintion of power, character, and smoothness. A hoot. Seating position: Great for around town. You really feel like Arthur Fonzerelli. At 60 mph the wind gets tiring. If one was to take this motorcycle on a trip I would consider a windshield. Suspension: Bumps could be smoother, I haven-´t tried to adjust the preload on the rear shocks yet. Handling: Something to get used to. I installed a super brace on the fork just above the fender. Took the mushiness out of putting the bike into a lean/turn. Once you get used to the size-weight-stearing geometry you can make it handle quite satisfactorily. I rode the Victory Vegas, but bought the Harley and I am glad I did. |
