ZZR600... perfect for first time bikers! | ||||||

I have just got my ZZR600. It is a second hand one and has done around 37000 miles which may seem high but has regular service records from new. Despite the high mileage this bike goes really well. No knocks from the engine and steers straight. The engine is sound as a pound and sounds so sweet when you are out and about. A real airbox roar is apparent possibly because of the ram air ducts at the front which acts as a kind of natural turbo. This bike essentially falls into the sports/tourer category but has enough oomph to keep up with the more sporty 600´s. Possibly lose a bit of pace when trying to go round corners but it isn´t that noticeable really. This is my first ´bigger bike´ and I think it is superb. I was admittedly a bit nervous when I bought it because I thought it would be too heavy, too fast, too difficult to control/steer. Probably all the usual stuff that goes through a new bikers mind but I was pleasantly surprised. This bike takes no effort to ride. The engine is faultless and the chassis helps to encourage you to use the bike to it´s full advantage. It isn´t an out an out racer but it can certainly hold it´s own. Asthetically I think it looks very neat and sharp. Nice and comfy too which you don´t really get from the sportsters. All in all a fantastic bike which I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone... new or experienced riders. |
