Review of the 2004 Yamaha FJR 1300 A:sweet ride |

There are more than one bike in the garage but I must say after having owned a lot of bikes over the years; this is one heck of a bike. | ||||||

Touring or sport riding I am just flat out impressed. I have owned touring bikes made in Germany at twice the cost and I will tell you with all honesty; this bike eats them for breakfast. With a shaft drive the ride is smooth and steady as speed increases. The seat is actually comfortable; my girlfriend actually likes it. This is the first touring bike I have ever owned that every time I climb on I say to myself ´yeah, I could take a trip on this bike, a long long trip´ And the braking system? The ABS system will bring you to a halt quickly and in a straight line. The two of us practise stopping so we know what it feels like going from 100 to zero. I am big on safety and having ridden for more than a few decades I am big on safety and I feel safe on this bike; in control. The balance of weight and power is a thing of beauty. If this isn´t the best bike I have ever owned it is in the top three. |
