The Moto Guzzi Norge is a stylish and effective alternative to more popular sport touring bikes from the likes of BMW and Honda

I love my Moto Guzzi Norge and have not been happier with a motorcycle purchase in a long time. I was in the market for a sport tourer and do it all bike. I had gone with BMW´s in the past but I find the latest offerings from the German maker a little on the large size and too complex for my liking. The Asian offerings are just too dull and with no flavour. I took a Norge for a test and was hooked right away. The engine and powertrain feel robust with plenty of power and give the impression they will last forever. The fit and finish are first rate. The Norge feels great even around the city and not huge but very nimble. I have taken it on several tours and it´s very comfortable for very long hauls and has been 100% reliable. If I had to purchase a sport touring bike again it would still be a Norge and that´s the bottom line. It has character and function, plus I feel like I´m still riding a motorcycle and not a car on two wheels. Very simple bike to maintain, valves are super easy. It´s easily the best looking and most stylish sport tourer, plenty of luggage space and on my last tour I was averaging about 60-68MPG! Good dealer setup is a must, as delivered my bike had air bubbles in the rear brake. Center stand could be a little higher because on low lean angles particularly on the left side the stand does drag. Some people remove it, I have left it on because it does make servicing at home easier. Love the Norge!! | |
