After trading in my four cylinder 1100cc Suzuki for the Sabre I have no regrets, this bike has won me over. The smooth V-twin has perfect manners.

Even though my ´93 Suzuki had 50hp more than the Sabre I don´t feel that the Sabre is at all underpowered, it just doesn´t have the screaming top end that a four cylinder has. Being that I rarely ride over 70mph anyhow it just doesn´t matter. The laid back riding posture is a nice change and the thumping sound of the strong V-twin is relaxing. Those of you who commonly ride above 80mph should choose another machine because the Sabre isn´t made for that. Sitting straight up at high speed isn´t comfortable. If you´re like me and just want to have fun cruising on a slick motorcycle then the Sabre is perfect. Consider water cooling, dual plugs and hydraulic lifters when you´re making comparisons. Also it gets 50mpg consistently. The clean styling speaks for itself. | |
