TS 250 - a super fun go anywhere enduro

I really miss the bike, it was a super fun go anywhere enduro. Riding down miles of railroad tracks was a breeze, or anywhere I chose to go. Besides it´s great looks the TS 250 was a 2-stroke which I loved.

I had a 81` TS 250 during high school in the early 80`s, I loved everything about the bike and rode it everywhere. Besides the thousands of street miles, I put many off-road miles on it as well.  I nearly submerged it crossing creeks and went off 10 foot shear cliff jumps that finally broke the frame in 3 places.

I abused the bike hard and had to replace the rear tail-light several times from over zealous wheelies. The bike had good acceleration and I thought the brakes were great. I could lock-up the rear wheel around 40 mph and slide the bike sideways and low for 30 feet looking like it was out of control yet coming to a perfectly controlled stop at the traffic light. The bike handled great and I could put the bike anywhere I wanted.

I could get 74 mph wound out and I once held it there until the piston started to disintegrate. The main things I replaced a couple times a year was the chain and front and rear sprockets.

I wish they still sold the TS250 here in the U.S. I would buy another one today.
