Great bike. When purchased in 1964 it was one of the quickest bikes around. Looks good, sounds good. A little hard to start. Great bike for its time. Quick, reliable, great sound. | ||||||
They typically had clutch problems because it uses a dry clutch inside of the primary case. Once the seal behind the clutch hub wears, oil seeps in and causes clutch slip. Rough treatment can cause the transmission main shaft to break. I replaced several over the 40+ years of ownership. It rides rough by today´s standards, but was not bad in its day. All in all I love this bike! |
