Friggin AWSOME machine. Does everything I wanted from a commuter and more. I have had my bike for 8 years now, 130,000km on the clock: the bike has done EVERYTHING i wanted it to do as a commuter, riding in town and on the freeway. | ||||||

It has a comfortable seat, is light and maneuverable in traffic and very good stability at high speeds and cross-winds. Fuel economy of 30-32km per liter during the first 120,000km of its life.. Things are now droping a bit below, but considering I push it to 120+ km per hour on the freeway, I can live with that :) With regular attention to chain and sprockets, my riding style allows me to do about 32000 km on a set of sprockets and chain, 32000 km on the back tyre and around 40000 km on the front. After the compulsory 1 factory +2 years (add-on) warranty and services with Honda, I started servicing the bike myself, only taking it to the dealer every 12000 or 15000km. Servicing has proved easy and inexpensive. The rings collapsed at 123,000 km, leaving the bike with only 16% compression and I had to have the engine overhauled. Only things I added after purchasing were a PUIG screen for the wind and cold in winter and some LED lights to the front to make me more visible in traffic. Friggin AWSOME machine .. Pity Honda stopped making this particular bike. |
