Everything I´d hoped it would be, powerful, stable, comfortable and refined. I was worried about the lean angle being that I didn´t test ride it and all the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised that it handles the back roads on Eastern Long Island with ease. | ||||
I was taken by the Breakout when I visited a Harley dealership with a friend. Having vowed never to spend the money in an HD, I could not get my eyes off it. The salesman, a personal acquaintance told me that he hated it, uncomfortable , position, handling difficult, etc, but I wasn´t in the market for a new bike, but i remember saying if I bought a Harley this would be it. Few months passed, banter with my buddy about Harley´s, on a snowy winter day that we had nothing to do. Brought us back to the dealership do a look see. This time they had a CVO model, a little different, the salesman explained the differences and what CVO meant. Again went home a little enticed, but not exactly ready. After a ride to Long Beach on the bike I had at the time I realized that I had out grew it, like an epiphany I was ready to move on. 3 days later I am riding on my new CVO Pro Street Breakout. Only 3 weeks later, I just dropped it off for the 1000 mile service. Very stable and great acceleration, not a sport bike, but then I would have bought a Ducati. Makes me smile to look at it. Handles very well, sure knee dragging is going to be difficult, but that´s not its strength. Even the exhaust note, although muted. Very HD. Never having ridden the regular 21´ front wheeled model I cannot really compare them, but the CVO is easy to handle at slow speeds contrary to most reviews, I am 6´ 190 lbs, the riding position is perfect. The gauges are easy to access and very visible. The keyless start and alarm is amazing. Considering how well it´s equipped, and the price, other then a swing arm bag, no mods in my immediate future. It oozes quality. One happy camper. |
