1998 to 2003, then gone. The perfect sportsters came and went. And few took notice. I got a 2000 year model. It´s black, like my women. These were fantastic motorcycles, if you can forgive the ultra cheap Red Chinese crap electronics that falls apart after 5 years. | ||||

61 horsepower...pretty good for a stock sportster. The braking is superb, the drivetrain is Harley´s best. Last of the great handling sportsters before they were deballed. You can still find them, unridden for 15 years in some executive poser´s garage with less than 5000 miles. These were fantastic motorcycles, if you can forgive the ultra cheap Red Chinese crap electronics that falls apart after 5 years. Of course there´s no kick starter, and the batteries and starters are too weak for the added doodads. Electric crap got added over the years to appeal to the fake poser crowd with their ´distressed´ leathers and weekend scowls and skulls. Proves humans can absolutely ruin ANY pastime or hobby with their need for selfies and posing as someone else. If you do like to ride bikes, try a 1200S Sportster. They are a gas. 1998 to 2002 are the best. Forget the rest. |
