2006-2022 Loved it for years

I rode this bike for years, but for half its life I had it in the shed due to living close to work, only rode it once a week, but the prior 5 years I rode it non stop everywhere all over the place.

If there is anything I hated, it was reliability. It needs proper belt servicing and engine maintenance no matter what. I`ve had a belt break well before its service time, tho that`s not the bikes fault. The frame has problems with stiffness, the handles will start shaking after just being fixed, all the bushes changed. Over its life I spent 3 x what the bike cost me at 8000km fixing things. All kinds of things. The final straw was breaking the speedometer after riding off a curb (really), and the thermometer in the engine/water stopped. I was quoted stupid amounts to fix it. The LCD display in the aussie sun burned a hole through it. 

I never managed to stop the shaking in the handle bars, even after spending 2 grand fixing it.

The paint just melted away but the structure was fine.

After all that, I rode this bike like I stole it and it would do 130km hr with my head down. The engine on this thing was a solid performer for years on end, in fact the engine was the only thing that was still going when the gaskets failed and I decided enough.

By this time the bike was no longer even able to be fixed with imported parts (2022).

The handling was brilliant, this bike was SUPER for my life. It turns on a dime, Its nimble. I think they really hit the money with this one. The styling was awesome, aggressive.

8000-58000 km on the clock. 2006-2022.

Giving up this bike was tough for me, but only financially and all things must come to an end.

Inside storage was pathetic, only room for a rain jacket and a few small tools.

This is a bike for going fast in the city, I used to hit 60km hr from one side of the intersection to the other, I would take on V8`s in the city and be right there. I set 15 minute records from one side of the city to the middle before I lost my licence when the coppers finally caught me.
