My first BMW after years of Japanese liter bikes. Well mannered, fit and finish first rate, performance first rate also. As far as looks go, I love the looks. The different right and left panels might put some off, but give it time. | ||||||
The electronic package takes a little time to sort out, but once you get a handle on it, smooth sailing. Kind of strange this one! A beast of a bike, but it comes with grip warmers and speed control. It also has a pit lane speed limiter for track days and racing. I discovered the auto upshot likes high RPMs. The higher the revs, the happier she is. I use the clutch in slow, in town traffic. The auto blip downshift is a treat. Just make sure the throttle is fully closed and use a firm touch. I´m only 5´ 8´ but for me, wind protection is excellent. Not sure about over 6´ types. The only (small) complaint I have is high frame temps in heavy, slow traffic. Not a deal breaker though |
