I have a 96 Honda ACE VT1100 which I absolutely love. It is so comfortable and easy to handle everywhere. Covered 1100 miles through the Colorado Rockies last summer and it performed beautifully. However, at the end of a great ride yesterday while doing about 55 the bike made a loud backfire pop then started stumbling badly. I tried to keep it going but nothing helped... a few more pops and then it was dead. After that it will not show neutral and does absolutely nothing. It does role freely with the clutch in. I suspect timing chain, but would this account for the no-neutral? Thanks for any help.
