RE: Kick Starter

You can purchase a after market kick starter. Last time I looked at this it was valued at about $1,000 AUD !!! Keep the battery on a trickle charger. Once the battery is flat you can push it arround all day and it will not start. If you do not use the bike very often bleed the carbi bowl first to make sure the fuel level is OK, then use an external battery in conjunction with the existing battery to start. I have modified mt TTR by adding a external jump start peg (wire from positive battery terminal to a bolt secured through the plastic cover)this way when the battery is flat or I want to trickle charge it I do not need to remove the side covers). Other than this it is a great bike.
