2002 tiger 955i

I bought the tiger 4 month ago after owning a cagiva gran canyon 900,initially thought that the tiger was overweight, poor handling and had poor brakes in comparison to gran canyon, engine very good but not as torquey at lower revs and poor engine braking, having covered 4000 mile and set up the suspension the bike now handles well on faster A roads is ok on b roads but is still a bit lardy for really pushing it on anything poorer and the brakes are not upto the job. seat is also very hard.bike overall gets 8/10 as an all rounder/tourer,build quality/finish is very good.extras fitted are higher screen, centre stand ,heated grips and luggage.along a bumpy back road the gran canyon would leave this for dead but tiger has more power for two up touring/distance work.It can also be quite a handfull on icy or severe wet slippy roads due to its top heavy weight.dont let me put you off it though its a fine bike with some limitations but can still be ridden very fast and cover huge distance with alarming pace and adding luggage tents and a passenger does little to alter its performance. overall rating very good but remember it a bit lardy,so has some limitations when pushed hard.
