I just did mine I think 60,000+ is pushing it. Get them from NAPA. Good price and top quality.Gas gauge could be rusted or stuck.Also check the ground connection they do corrode over time the input also. The gas gauge is nothing more than a volt meter reading a variable resistor in the tank hooked to the float. If you have a volt ohm meter you should be able to find the fault. Warren
