RE: Just purchased a 1983 Seca and it blows oil in the air breat

Hi Nick, The breather for the engine is a hose that can be seen on the left top of the tranny going up to the bottom of the airbox. The oil level is too high (hopefully). Park the bike on a level spot on its side stand and look in the oil level window low on the right side of engine/tranny case ideally the oil level should be half way between the high and low marks if you cannot see a level line of oil after five or ten minutes I would suggest draining the oil into a clean container if you wish to reuse it measure out 3.7 qts. of oil (factory spec.) and recheck. The other most common cause is pressure in the crankcase caused by worn or broken rings that is usually accompanied by exhaust smoke, acompression check will tell you if that is the case. Good luck, they are an excellent bike if serviced regularly and maintained.
