I have a ´72 sporster xlch since 1973. I switched over to electronic ignition 15 years ago. In the past year i have rebuilt it top and bottom. It ran fine for about 500 miles. It has a new coil for electronic ignition, new generator that has been checked recently. I do flash field coils on my regulator when disconnecting wires. New Bendix carburator. That works great. Spark plugs look good. New Bosch voltage regulator and new battery with a new 15 amp circuit breaker. New spark plug wires and new spark plugs. It starts easy, runs great and idles fine. After 10 or 15 minutes or when it gets hot, it misfires and dies. It won´t start until it cools down. Do i have some kind of a short in the electrical system?
