Ah sweet memories

Ah, what sweet memories a picture of a GPz brings. I eventually owned four of them. Two 1982s and two 83s. In short, this was the best bike I ever owned. Stone reliable, in it´s day fast enough to run with just about every 750 available, economical on fuel, a worthy touring mount, perfect ergonomics, you name it, it did it all. As mentioned, I toured with mine, ran 1/4 miles, box-stocked raced it, did wheelies (wasn´t a great wheelie bike compared to the kz550). To be honest, as an 18 year old kid with even less brains than money, I did everything I could to try to kill this bike and could not. My first was destroyed in a crash (I got hit by another bike) but my second I rode almost 30,000 miles in a year. What a great bike. If I could find one in decent shape, I´d buy it in a second.
