Aloha MR, I have a short inseam and needed to drop the front tubes and lower the rear. I slid the fork tubes up about 7/8ths of an inch and turned the lower shock support plate 1/3rd of a turn. Total drop at the seat center was around 2 inches. It made the bike much more comfortable for me and lost none of the suspension. Have to be careful going over severe speed bumps but they are few and far between. Good luck! Took about a half hour of wrenching.
