RE: QUESTIONS ON 2002 YAMAHA BT100 BULLDOG

I owned a Buell M2 long enough to find out that the design of the rear suspension was such that when carrying a passenger the hugger chaffed on the oil tank, which in other cases has led to the oil tank being holed! In my own case my local Yamaha dealer took it in against an XJR,because I couldnt face spending the 1000 pounds or so for a Hyperpro suspension kit to fix it.I think Buell have a bloody cheek selling a bike that in my view is not fit for purpose off the showroom floor. The gearing was way too high as standard(UK model)rendering top gear redundant, but if you cough up another few hundred quid for pulleys, speedo sensor, etc you can have that fixed too! The one thing that did impress me was the motor. It went like the clappers,90 mph in 2nd gear, but for how long? Theres two sides to every story, and Ive seen both sides of the Buell V Bulldog one.I test rode a Bulldog and bought one.I could elaborate more but my typing is very slow.If anyone would like to make any pertinent (polite) comment my e mail adress is provided.Slower but happiier, John Cunningham.
