Moto Guzzi California Special with Attitude! HELP
Gary Wright - No said 2006-03-08 19:30
Recently my MGCS has developed "attitude" by refusing to start on the button. Having owned the bike from new in 2001 and covered 12,000 trouble free miles it has now decided to test my loyalty by becoming somewhat tempremental. Without any warning, or pattern, it refused to start on the starter button. Ignition on, panel lights on, injectors prime, thumb the starter button - absolutely nothing - all panel lights go off, engine does not turn, not even a click from the relay??? Leave her alone for 10 minutes, try again, fires first time, off I go for my weekly dose of "Guzzi Freedom", stop to refuel, absolutely nothing on the button???? All circuits checked, contacts cleaned, but still she turns tempremental at my favourite greasy spoon, causing me embarrassment and others great glee. Am fast losing confidence and need to know what to do??? Is this a common problem, why intermittent, the battery is A1, Twiggers have tried to sort it, loads of £´s but still the attitude exists. Can anyone help as she is fast becomming a thing of dread who has been confined to the garage over the last few months.
