RE: Windscreen on Silverado

Folks, can we please put this issue to rest? Upon returning home in May with my brand-new 2005 Silverado, those dumb stickers glared at me. The first thing that I did was to remove them . . . ALL!! Yes, I used Goo Gone on the plexiglass windshield, and on the beautifully painted tank and I PROMISE YOU . . . it worked and caused not a single mark of any sort on either surface. You can buy Goo Gone at most auto parts stores and many Wal-Marts. It is very inexpensive and completely harmless to you and your bike. One thing I will warn, let the Goo Gone do the work for you. Don´t try scraping on the stickers with anything more than your fingertips as the sticker softens. After the sticker and it´s residual adhesive is removed, simply wipe the surface with a clean, dry, soft cloth. You can apply a bit of polish or wax to the spot on the tank if you´d like and you can remove the small amount of film from your windshield with whatever you normally use. REMEMBER: DO NOT USE Windex on plexiglass or any other product containing amonia, that can mess up the plexi.
