This is an awsome, mannerly beast. At 22,000 miles it developed what appeared to be a carburetion misalignment problem, which I cured by adding half a can of Seafoam to a full tank. I live on the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Washington state, and when the fog rolls in, the ignition dampens and I have to forget even trying to start it. My largest problem, though, is its top-heavy character. If your inseam is less than, maybe, 31" (mine is 32"), forget even trying to straddle it. Shorter shocks on the rear are a great help in lowering the seat height, but then you must also shorten the center-stand, or you´ll need help pulling it up. As for me, I´ll be switching to a lighter, lower bike. It´s been a blast, though, and I love the smiles of recognition that light up the faces of people who remember this 25-year-old superbike.
