What Rune means

The answer to your question: Runes were an alphabetic script used by the peoples of northen Europe from the first century c.e. into the Middle Ages. Each Norse rune was a letter in the alphabet and also stood for a word. Each rune has a meaning which makes a runic alphabet different from other alphabets. Runes also have magical significance because the use of runes transforms the simple process of writing into a magical act. Norse people had runes over the doorways into their homes to ward off evil. Honda´s use of the word Rune is to tie in with the Norse theme of the Valkyrie. (Valkyries were the beautiful women on horses that came from the sky to take Viking warriors, who had fallen in battle, to Valhalla...so the legend goes. It´s good to be riding a ´magical´ Rune!!
