2008 Piaggio Fly 50, Recently Purchased, Questions

We live near San Antonio, Texas, USA and purchased a 2008 Piaggio Malossi Fly 4 Tempi (approximately a 50cc engine) with 146 original miles as showing on the odometer in late December 2020. Back in the 1970s, when I was a teenager, I own a Kawasaki 125 ´street/trail motorcycle. I have not owned a motorcycle or motor scooter since then. With that background information about me and my experience with machines of that nature please allow me to join in your forum and humor me by allowing me to ask questions about this scooter from time to time. First off let me start with the names on the side of the scooter. The name decal towards the front of the side fairing or cowling is ´Malossi´ with some sort of a symbol above the ´ossi´ part of the Malossi name. Towards the rear of fairing or cowling is another decal showing ´Fly 4 Tempi´ with ´Fly´ being above ´4 Tempi´. 1. What is the significance of the Malossi name? 2. What is the significance of the 4 Tempi name? Thank You! in advance to anyone who would be kind enough to offer any information to me about these names.
