The latest Honda 125XL (2020 motorcycle) has a design flaw. It has no engine stop switch, which makes it dangerous to handle the vehicle on a steep slope while carrying a load. This is especially a problem when the motorcycle has stopped moving and the rider is struggling to keep it in balance while the engine is still running. Under these circumstances the normal procedure is to stop the engine using a switch located on the right hand side handle bar. This eliminates the need to stop the engine by means of the ignition key which implies relying on one handle to maintain balance.
