Fighter Boom Trike
Twoponies said 2016-12-07 01:51
5 years and 60,000 miles ago I built a Fighter look-a-like trike. Used a ยด05 Ford Focus engine and auto trans. Rake is 40 degrees and trail is 3/4 inch at ride height. Weight on front wheel is just under 300 with two riders up. Steer head raises a half inch from straight ahead to full left or full right. Still, steering is fairly heavy at speed on mountain twisties. And backing up, wow, steers god awful hard at even walking speed. All that said, anybody ever measured the trail on a factory Boom trike? Do they steer hard in reverse? Anyone own one of these guys? Thanx
