Make sure that you get up the speed before you shift gears.The bike shifts smoother if you wait for the bike to rev to a higher rpm.If you shift to soon the bike will shake and make noise trying to get up to speed. For example in first gear let the bike get up to 3500 rpm before shifting to second.
