The only way you could possibly drive the XR 100 on the roads leagally is to have the following 1) Headlight 2) tail light and a licence plate with valid insurance. Most states and provinces have what they call a trail permit but even with such an item you would still require valid insurance. My question to you would be why would you want to take a fine trail machine like that and ride it on the roads ?? I would think the better bike for that would be an XL 100 which is already equipped for such a task and needs nothind accept your licence /permit and insurance to make roadworthy.
