As long as your revs aren´t too high it will be fine ! These bikes have a butterfly valve in the exhaust system kinda under your rh peg which helps burn unburnt gas and prevents backfires ! It also apparently prevents a torque dip between 4-4500 rpm! I labour mine down through the gears Constantly cause it sounds so tough and smooth with the scorpion muffler I have on mine ! Not to mention how good the blue from the titanium looks on a blue bike !! I have been riding for over 25 yrs now and using my gears to brake has never harmed any of my over 40 bikes!!! Go for it! Just make sure your oil and coolant is good and don´t rev above the suggested redline when decelerating !!! Hope it puts your mind at ease ! It´s called engine braking !!!! Cheers Garry !!
