I have always wondered what the differences are between VT600c and the VT600c/d. The manual shows a weight differential between the two but I have yet to figure out what the c/d has that the custom does not. I have owned both kinds of the same year (1997), but not at the same time. I can´t tell any differences. Both bikes withstood heavy daily riding over a period of years and I still ride a Shadow to this day. I call it my \
