Hi i am having problems starting my 1989 honda transalp,i last used the T.A. two weeks ago and it run as normal ,This week i tried to start it but it will not start.Petrol is getting to both cylinders ,new air filter fitted ,and plugs x4 about three weeks ago .The kill switch has been bypassed around two years ago when it failed at the side of the road ,all lights, indicators, horn, high beam, work, engine turns over but no spark at any of the plugs .I have checked all connections back of fuse box ,fuses. No side stand switch neutral light lights when put in neutral.the only thing i can think of has the regulator rectifier "blown" which would boil the battery or have both C.D.I. units "blown" which i would think the bike would have shown problems when i last had it out on a 400 mile run two weeks earlyier ,the bike ran like a dream as usual .Around two years ago one of the C.D.I. units blew but it did not stop straight away it chugged for about a mile " just like when the bike goes on to reserve" .I was about a mile from home so i made it one one cylinder .any thoughts fw600vj
