Turning back the mile counter

I just bought a 91 heritage and want to be able to reset my mile counter. I know on the newer models you can carry a pen with you and just push it inside to reset the counter. On the 91´s is there some sort of twist crank tool you need in order to do this? I tried doing the push thing and no luck. Maybe its stuck? Please email me and let me know. Im so bad about mileage and math I would rather just set my counter to zero everytime i fill up. thanks in advance
