I recently purchased a 1975 GT550 with no spark in the middle cylinder. I have heard from a couple of people that this can be a problem with these bikes because the middle cylinder gets too hot and fries the plug and the ignition coil. Is this true? If so what if I were to put a hotter plug in the middle cylinder to prevent this from happening? Has anyone done that with success or is it not recommended?
