I talked my friend into buying a yamaha 250DT in the early 80´s i taught him to ride and man this bike was awesome for all around use,we mostly used it for trail rideing but accasionaly went on the street, this bike gave no problems at all for the beating we put on it,the bike ran every time and nothing ever went wrong with itwe puuled the baffel out because we thought it was cool back then plus it gave it a little more power, probably just an ellusion due to the extra noise.im amazed to see any of these bikes that are still in good condition and not priced to kill, anyways they are an older bike but an excellent starter bike
