I sold a BMW of this model and color in Atlanta about 1984 or 1985. I had it painted a Corvette blue color with clear coat on top. I also had cracks in the valve covers welded up and sandblasted to hide the damage, and put a home made pointer in the tach or speedo to replace one that had broken off.
