| Hello there, I´m having a big issue with my 2006 xl 883 custom... I´ve noticed that the mileage per tank is very low. I checked and the specifications say it is around 180-190 miles per tank. I´m only getting around 85 miles per tank. This has kept me up at night for quite some time. Some people say it might me the carburator, others that i´m not filling up the tank all the way to the top. Others say it may be my riding habbits.. The truth is: I dont ride the bike very often (only 1500 miles in 4 years) and i´ve only taken it to the mechanic once for the first service... Any thoughts? Ideas? I talked to the HD guys and they said this: Bring it, i´ll have to fill the tank and use it and see hoy many miles i can get out of it (YEAH RIGHT, i´ll let you ride my bike for 100 miles) Once again, what do you guys think? Don´t see any black smoke (carburator issues) don´t see any gas leakage. |
