Looking for opinions and technical references. Own a 92 Sportster hugger for number of years. Was used to teach wife and children motorcycle riding skills. All have license, now, would like to up the HP and update tranie. Couple options, rebuild engine and tranie or replace. Since the engine is stock and low mileage, pulling the engine and replace with 1000 or 1200cc engine and tranie may be easier and cheaper.

1. Opinions, replace or rebuild engine?

2. If I replace, what engine (year and model) would fit the frame?
