I have an ´06 883 Custom. I had the same oil/gas collecting in my air cleaner so I asked the dealer about it. He said it is normal because Harley motors are designed to inject a small amount of oil directly into the carburetor for lubrication purposes, so it is a normal Harley ´thing´. This engine is a capsule of time preserved for all Harley lovers!
